Education Committee 2017

The mission of AOSpine is to be the leading global academic community for innovative education and research in spine care, inspiring lifelong learning and improving patients’ lives.

The Education Committee Meeting was held on 8 April 2017 in Singapore.

A Look Back at 2017 – Chairperson of AOSAP Education (Ortho)
For teaching practical surgical techniques to any spine surgeons in our region, we are planning a specimen course in every summer in Thailand. The program of the specimen course is determined based on the latest needs assessment among our regional members. We are trying to organize practical courses completely matching the needs of each spine surgeon in our region. Their highest satisfaction is our priority

A Look Back at 2017 – Chairperson of AOSAP Education (Neuro)
AOspine Asia Pacific education committee is staying ahead with new ideas to improve the "teaching tools" in the region by keeping pace with the AOspine international education committee guidelines.

We are using Need Assessment protocols to each course which has significantly improved participants approval of the courses. AOSAP is standardizing the standalone "Video courses" and " Webinars" between fellowship centres which will be very soon a regular event in the region.

In addition, AOSAP has come out with scoring system for choosing the "Best Educator of Asia-Pacific”
