Looking forwards to 2020 and beyond
– Chairperson of Research Committee

2019 was a year of transition with a new regional board formed for AO Spine Asia Pacific. The promotion of research education has bear fruit with new research modules embedded within regional courses. We have once again country-level grants with the aim of fostering young talents and supporting pilot work that may grow into larger collaborative grants.
As the new research Chairperson of AOSAP research, I plan to invest into several new initiatives with the purpose of showcasing the talent for research in our region. Looking forward to the coming three years, members should be ready to support and contribute in regional research collaborative projects. Information will be distributed to individual country officers regarding recruitment and nomination for focus articles and topics.
Each individual has much to contribute in elevating our region’s status and output. This is the direction of the research committee for the upcoming few years. I am enthusiastic about serving the region and guiding it towards this common goal.
